Naver has enhanced its AI shopping agent (software that performs shopping tasks for users) to use real-time delivery information when recommending products. The agent filters items based on a user’s delivery address and requested arrival date, allowing shoppers to find products that can actually arrive on time without checking delivery schedules manually. It can also interpret broader shopping context, such as recommending different types of electric bedding when a user says mornings and evenings have become colder, while prioritizing products available quickly. Naver said conversations with the agent increased by approximately 60% in September from its official June launch, while transaction amounts rose 82%. Lee Jeong-tae Leader said Naver is combining product specifications, real-time delivery data and review information with personalized recommendations to support decisions tailored to users’ intentions and circumstances.
