Huawei unveiled a grid-interactive AI data center (AIDC) solution at the Green Energy Development Conference & International Digital Energy Expo 2026 in Shenzhen on Sept. 17. The system addresses power acquisition, high-density electricity and heat management, complex delivery and operations, and construction speed by coordinating computing and electricity to increase tokens per watt. Huawei’s proposed "3+1" framework covers Watt, Bit, Heat and a productized construction model. It combines grid-forming controls, energy storage, solid-state transformer technology, liquid cooling, AI-enabled operations, modularization and prefabrication to help AIDCs operate reliably under weaker and more volatile grid conditions while supporting the grid as large loads.
