BlackRock transferred $62 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum through Coinbase Prime, including 656.71 BTC worth about $49.79 million and 5.15K ETH worth roughly $12.28 million, according to Arkham. The transfers were small relative to Arkham-tracked holdings of 787.349K BTC valued at $60.15 billion and 3.556 million ETH worth $8.68 billion, and the transactions do not establish whether the assets were intended for ETF operations or longer-term custodial services. Separately, BlackRock’s IBIT and ETHA funds retained approximately 795,000 BTC and 3.6 million ETH after recovering from mid-2026 lows. IBIT holdings fell 9% from nearly 800,000 BTC in 2025 to their July 2026 low as Bitcoin declined more than 50%, while ETHA holdings fell 30% from about 4 million ETH in October 2025 to 2.8 million ETH in June 2026 as Ethereum declined more than 60%; holdings later recovered to near 795,000 BTC and 3.6 million ETH. The funds represent roughly 4% of Bitcoin’s and 3% of Ethereum’s circulating supply. However, ETF flows weakened through September, with larger outflows on Sept. 16 after investor sentiment deteriorated following a Senate setback involving the CLARITY Act, reducing ETF-driven buying support despite BlackRock’s resilient holdings.
