Henley & Partners' Crypto Wealth Report 2026 counted 135,694 crypto millionaires worldwide, including 92,272 whose wealth is tied to Bitcoin, as the digital-asset market stood at about $2.6 trillion on Aug. 31. The report identified 290 investors with more than $100 million in crypto and 23 crypto billionaires; nine of those billionaires derived their wealth from Bitcoin. Bitcoin accounted for roughly $1.6 trillion of the market and traded about 38% below its October 2025 peak. Henley estimates that 742 million people hold digital assets globally, including 371 million Bitcoin holders. Singapore led Henley's 2026 Crypto Adoption Index, ahead of the UAE, Hong Kong, the U.S. and Switzerland. The firm said its 2026 estimates use a new methodology and are not comparable year-on-year with earlier editions. It also highlighted that 76 jurisdictions have joined the OECD's Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework, with initial information exchanges among 46 jurisdictions due in September 2027.
