M31 Technology (6643.TW) announced an expanded partnership with Rambus covering MIPI CSI and MIPI DSI controller technologies. The agreement combines Rambus's controllers with M31's silicon-proven MIPI PHY portfolio, allowing M31 to offer a complete subsystem spanning physical-layer transmission and control functions. M31 General Manager Chang Yuan-Hsun said higher-resolution smartphones, automotive displays and multi-screen smart cockpits are driving sustained demand for integrated MIPI solutions. The one-stop offering is intended to reduce verification and development risks associated with cross-vendor integration, shorten development cycles and accelerate time to market. M31 expects average total contract values for related design projects to increase from its previous PHY-only licensing model. Demand also extends across automotive ADAS cameras and AI edge devices. Industry research firms project the global interface IP market will reach $5.4 billion, or approximately NT$170 billion, by 2029, with USB, PCIe and MIPI among the key growth drivers. The strategy supports M31's focus on automotive, smartphone and AI edge-computing applications.
