Cryptocurrency investor and analyst Lark Davis identified $73,000 as Bitcoin’s first key support level and approximately $67,000 as a secondary zone if the decline deepens. The first level corresponds to the 200-day exponential moving average (EMA, a trend indicator based on recent prices), which investors commonly use to assess longer-term trends. Davis said market weakness could persist because of U.S. cryptocurrency regulatory developments and the Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike, but he does not believe conditions are severe enough for Bitcoin to establish a new low. Investors will be watching Federal Reserve policy, developments involving the Clarity Act and Bitcoin’s price action around those technical levels. Davis shared the assessment on X, and it was not investment advice.
