Nova Minerals Corp used a Port MacKenzie Industry Day on Sept. 17, 2026, to update nearly 100 industry, government, transportation, energy, mining, engineering and infrastructure leaders on its planned antimony processing and refining project. The project is supported by a US$43.4 million award from the U.S. Department of War and is intended to help establish a domestic antimony supply chain for defense, energy and industrial uses, with production targeted for 2027. Port MacKenzie is being developed as a gateway for Alaska’s mineral and industrial exports, with nearly 10,000 acres of industrial-zoned land and planned road, rail, utility and deep-water port connections. Discussions covered the West Susitna Access Road, Port MacKenzie Rail Extension, Alaska LNG, port improvements and grant funding. Nova CEO Christopher Gerteisen and Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy said the project could support further investment, jobs and reduced reliance on foreign antimony supplies. The company also disclosed that 44 containers of project equipment were brought to the port over Labor Day weekend. Nova’s release says its forward-looking statements are subject to risks, uncertainties and assumptions, and that the company has no duty to update them except as required by law.
