Pendle has integrated NGI+, a tokenized infrastructure product from Asseto, into its DeFi protocol, allowing users to divide the yield-bearing token into a Principal Token (PT) and Yield Token (YT). NGI+ tracks the net asset value performance of Partners Group’s Next Generation Infrastructure strategy and matures on Dec. 10, 2026. Partners Group manages about $186 billion, while the associated fund has more than $1 billion in assets. The strategy produced a 48.8% net return over the past 2.5 years, with volatility below 2.5%. The integration extends Pendle’s fixed- and variable-yield trading model beyond its earlier focus on staked ETH and stablecoins and into tokenized real-world assets. Pendle co-founder TN Lee described the launch as one of the protocol’s most exciting in recent months.
