Marvell Technology shares rose as much as 5% after the company, Microsoft and Utimaco introduced Azure Payment HSM v2, a cloud-native payment security service entering public preview across the Western U.S. and Western Europe. The service combines Marvell’s LiquidSecurity hardware security modules (HSMs) with Utimaco’s Atalla Payments Module software on Microsoft Azure, giving banks, payment processors and other financial institutions access to dedicated, single-tenant hardware-backed security without maintaining physical equipment. It supports card issuance, PIN protection, mobile payments and cryptographic key management while helping customers meet Payment Card Industry security, compliance and audit requirements. The hardware security market is projected to reach $5 billion by 2033.
