Bottomline has launched Global Pay Connect, an onchain payment connectivity platform linking more than 600 banks to blockchain-based payment rails through Chainlink infrastructure. The platform connects networks including Swift, SEPA, SIC, Bacs, CHAPS, CHIPS, Lynx and EBICS, while supporting host-to-host integrations, ISO 20022 transformation, payment-data enrichment, message retention and real-time oversight. Bottomline, a top-three Swift service provider handling more than $16 trillion in annual payments, said the platform addresses infrastructure constraints that are slowing real-time payment adoption. Its research found that 40% of CFOs identify outdated infrastructure as a barrier, while only 28% of institutions consider their SaaS environment modern and fully API-enabled. Chainlink’s CCIP (cross-chain interoperability protocol) connects Bottomline’s payment infrastructure with blockchain networks, while its CRE (workflow coordination environment) manages payment processes across onchain and offchain systems. Bottomline is presenting the platform at Sibos Miami 2026.
