Forward Saddiq Bey has agreed to a three-year, $55.5 million contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans, ESPN first reported on Thursday. The deal is fully guaranteed through the 2029-30 season and includes a trade kicker, allowing Bey to receive a bonus of up to 15% of his remaining salary if New Orleans trades him. The Pelicans would pay that bonus. Bey averaged 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 72 regular-season games last season, his first with New Orleans. The 27-year-old missed the 2024-25 campaign while recovering from a torn left ACL suffered in March 2024 with the Atlanta Hawks.
