BlackBerry Limited shares gained 3.9% to close at $7.94 Thursday and rose another 1.89% to $8.09 after hours as investors focused on a QNX partnership with Sift and the company’s upcoming fiscal second-quarter report. The integration lets engineers stream live telemetry from QNX-powered systems into Sift’s data platform and query it with SQL within one second of leaving the device, without changing software running on the hardware. QNX, which operates in more than 275 million vehicles, is also being expanded into robotics, factory automation, medical equipment and other Physical AI applications. BlackBerry’s fiscal first-quarter revenue rose 26% to $152.9 million, adjusted EBITDA increased 144% to $36.3 million and QNX revenue reached $72.3 million. The company is scheduled to report fiscal second-quarter 2027 results before the opening bell on Sept. 24, with analysts tracked by Fiscal.ai expecting revenue of $145.5 million and earnings of $0.04 per share. Jim Cramer had separately recommended BlackBerry during CNBC’s "Mad Money Lightning Round."
