Deutsche Bank plans to launch Bitcoin and other digital-asset custody services for institutional and corporate clients in Europe by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approval and product finalization. A bank spokesperson said the offering is expected to receive approval under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, or MiCA, in October. The service is not operational, and the bank has not confirmed supported assets beyond Bitcoin, eligible jurisdictions, fees, licensing details, security arrangements or technology partners. The plan comes as banks expand their presence on Europe's regulated crypto market, with about 80 banks listed on the European Securities and Markets Authority register by Sept. 16, up from roughly 40 on June 26.
