Uniswap’s UNI token rose from $6.63 to $8.49 after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission established a temporary regulatory structure for trading certain tokenized U.S. equities through permissioned AMM (automated market maker) systems. The SEC did not explicitly approve or endorse Uniswap or its v4 protocol, but the framework is compatible with the exchange’s permissioned liquidity infrastructure. Uniswap launched Permissioned Pools in July 2026 with Superstate, Securitize and Dowgo; the pools restrict participation to verified wallet addresses through blockchain-based compliance mechanisms. The framework also provides conditional regulatory exemptions for qualified liquidity providers supporting compliant pools. UNI briefly reached $8.86 after breaking above $6.50 and later stabilized near $8.53. Open interest rose to 11.21 million UNI tokens, while derivatives trading volume increased 64.27% to $1.23 billion and open interest in dollar terms climbed 16.19% to $569.95 million. Crypto Patel said UNI had gained 285% from his accumulation range and identified $9.50 as the next focus, with potential targets of $14, $26 and $50 if that level is decisively cleared; a rejection could place $5.40 in focus as support. Technical indicators show strong momentum but also near-term consolidation risk: the RSI reached 76.24, while UNI traded above its 20-, 50-, 100- and 200-period exponential moving averages. Bollinger Bands were expanding, with the upper band near $7.55 and the 20-period simple moving average around $5.99. Uniswap processed more than $70 billion in transaction volume during the previous month and supports over 1,700 tokenized real-world assets. Recent integrations include Ink across its Web Application, Wallet and API infrastructure, and Arc across Uniswap v2, v3, v4, UniswapX and Trading API systems. Resistance levels cited in the outlook include $8.63 to $8.86, $9.30, $9.35 and $10.15, with $12 identified as the extended monthly objective.
