NASA has added three crewed Dragon flights to the International Space Station under its Commercial Crew Transportation Capability contract with SpaceX, with the modification valued at up to $946 million upon completion. The extension covers missions through 2030 and brings SpaceX’s total operational missions under the contract to 17, while total NASA payments under the full agreement could reach $5.92 billion. The deal includes ground, launch, in-orbit, return and recovery services, cargo transportation and emergency lifeboat capability while Dragon is docked at the station. NASA said the award supports continued access to the station through two commercial partners, with Boeing remaining the other provider despite Starliner’s earlier crewed-test problems. Boeing is targeting an uncrewed Starliner-1 cargo flight no earlier than the fourth quarter of 2026.
