Health insurance startup Angle Health announced a $200 million Series C alongside a $400 million tender offer at a $2.7 billion valuation. Vitruvian Partners led the round, which included Town Hall Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Portage Ventures, PruVen Capital, and Y Combinator. The winter 2020 Y Combinator alum serves more than 5,000 businesses and says it is profitable. Angle uses an AI-powered platform to help small businesses select and manage level-funded health plans, which combine predictable payments with protection against unusually high costs and potential refunds when claims remain low.
