Switchboard Technology Labs Inc. will shut down the Switchboard oracle network, immediately deprecating every implementation and ending support services on September 25. Kamino Finance, Jito, MarginFi and Drift Protocol are among Solana applications that must migrate their price feeds, with Switchboard directing users to Pyth Network and RedStone. The network had processed hundreds of millions of data requests each week, supplied more than 550 feeds across 53 Solana programs and operated on 10 other chains. The company attributed its closure to cheaper AI-enabled in-house oracle development, weaker demand during the crypto bear market and direct data agreements between major consumers and providers. A suspected key compromise that halted Switchboard services on Aptos, Sui, IOTA and Movement on August 29, 2026 was a separate event; Solana feeds were not affected.
