Gate warned users that FomoPeek contains malicious code capable of exploiting iOS vulnerabilities, accessing the clipboard, scanning sensitive device data and obtaining login credentials. Gate said its monitoring had not found attack losses among Gate App users caused by FomoPeek and that its existing risk controls were operating normally. Users were urged to update iOS, check for and uninstall FomoPeek, restart their devices, then log back into Gate and other important applications. Web3 wallet users were advised to review wallet security and transfer assets if necessary. The warning adds to earlier alerts from Binance Wallet, SlowMist and OKX involving FomoPeek versions 1.1–1.2, which were linked to potential exposure of private keys, seed phrases, credentials, chat histories and files through iOS vulnerabilities. Affected self-custody wallet users were advised to create new wallets on clean devices and move remaining assets.
