Upbit will end support for ICON’s ICX token by delisting the ICX/KRW trading pair at 3:00 p.m. Korea Standard Time on October 19, 2026. The exchange began reviewing ICX in late August after placing it on its investment caution list over security risks that it determined remained unresolved. ICON had suffered a replay attack in which previously signed withdrawal messages were reused more than a thousand times, releasing a large volume of tokens and taking the network offline for roughly a day. When trading ends, Upbit will cancel open orders and stop won-denominated order matching, airdrop credits, wallet upgrades, migrations and hard fork support. Withdrawals will remain available until November 18, 2026. The decision removes ICX’s main won-denominated market on Upbit, where it had traded for years. ICON is a Layer 1 blockchain launched in 2017 by the Seoul-based ICON Foundation. The move follows Upbit’s September decision involving Synthetix’s SNX and comes as South Korean exchanges tighten listing standards amid greater regulatory scrutiny.
