Hotel Shilla will open Shilla Monogram Hanoi West Lake in Hanoi, Vietnam, on October 23, making it the fourth property in the Shilla Monogram series and the brand’s third overseas location. The 319-room five-star hotel will be built in Star Lake, a new city linking central Hanoi with Noi Bai International Airport. Government office relocations, diplomatic complex developments and nearby global corporate facilities are expected to support business accommodation demand, while the property is about a 20-minute drive from Hanoi’s central business district and major industrial complexes. Designed around Vietnam’s terraced rice fields, the hotel will include five food and beverage outlets, a 35th-floor Monogram Lounge with a dedicated meeting room, banquet halls, indoor and outdoor pools, and a spa. It will operate under a management contract, allowing the building owner to retain ownership while Hotel Shilla manages operations. The opening follows Shilla Monogram Xi’an in February and Shilla Stay Yancheng in April, giving Hotel Shilla three overseas additions this year. The company operates The Shilla, Shilla Monogram and Shilla Stay, and president Lee Boo-jin has identified the hotel business as a new growth engine as the company seeks to reduce its reliance on duty-free operations.
