Paraguayan authorities seized 35 mining rigs from two illegal digital-asset mining facilities in Alto Paraná during operations on September 12 and September 17. ANDE found 10 ASIC miners at a Minga Guazú site connected directly to electricity without passing through a meter and imposed penalties of about 176.16 million guaraníes, or roughly $30,000, including unpaid bills and fines. Police separately confiscated 25 rigs in the Remansito area of Ciudad del Este after a noise complaint. The operations involved ANDE, the National Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office. Paraguay's Chamber of Deputies also approved a resolution requiring ANDE to submit, within 15 working days, data on the industry's actual electricity consumption, applicable tariffs, related revenue and enforcement activity.
