Robinhood Chain collected $4.5 million in transaction fees on Sept. 3 while spending an estimated $398 to post data and proofs to Ethereum, according to Bitquery. The Layer 2 processed about 597 million transactions from its first block on April 30 through Sept. 3 and generated roughly $23 million in cumulative fees. Ethereum provided data availability through blobs, while ETH remained Robinhood Chain’s native gas token. The figures illustrate how Layer 2 activity and Ethereum’s direct fee capture can diverge, but the $398 represents settlement-related spending rather than revenue received by Ethereum or Robinhood’s profit. Robinhood Chain also shares 10% of net protocol revenue with the Arbitrum ecosystem under its Expansion Program license.
