ETHShanghai 2026 will take place in Shanghai on September 22 under the theme "The Renaissance of Ethereum." The conference will discuss Ethereum’s development, AI × Web3, decentralization and individual sovereignty, prediction markets, stablecoins and tokenized U.S. equities. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin will attend online and deliver a keynote speech. The address will extend his earlier views on blockchain as a privacy infrastructure layer for the era of AI agents, examining how decentralized forces can provide checks and balances as AI becomes increasingly centralized and prevent any single force from achieving absolute dominance in cyberspace.
