Singapore-based stablecoin payments firm dtcpay has extended its Series A to $25 million after Japan’s SBI Group joined as a strategic investor. SBI invested through SBI Ventures Asset and the SBI-NTU-Kyobo Digital Innovation Fund, alongside new backer Genedant Capital and existing investor Kwee Liong Tek; individual amounts were not disclosed. Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India led the initial $10 million tranche in March. dtcpay operates under a Major Payment Institution license from Singapore’s Monetary Authority and also holds an Electronic Money Institution license in Luxembourg, with registrations in Hong Kong, Australia, the US and Canada. Its platform supports stablecoin and fiat settlement, merchant acceptance, point-of-sale payments and a Visa-linked stablecoin-to-fiat card accepted at more than 150 million locations globally. The company will use the funding to expand its merchant network and product suite, including a revamped enterprise portal and new consumer-app features, while SBI’s investment is intended to support digital-asset links between Japan and Southeast Asia.
