Mirae Asset Global Investments will list the TIGER Hyundai Motor LG Electronics Fixed Physical AI Value Chain ETF on South Korea's KOSPI market on Sept. 22. Hyundai Motor and LG Electronics will each receive a 25% target weighting at regular index reviews, while the remaining 50% will be allocated by market capitalization across robotics, components, sensors, AI and software companies linked to their value chains. The portfolio will hold 10 to 15 companies and rebalance four times a year. Expected late-August holdings include Hyundai Mobis, LG Innotek, Rainbow Robotics, Hyundai AutoEver, LG CNS, Doosan Robotics, Robotis, SPG, Autoliv and Gentex, although final holdings and weights may change. The ETF will use full replication, charge an annual total expense ratio of 0.50% and leave U.S.-dollar exposure unhedged. Mirae Asset is positioning the product around the shift from AI model development toward the hardware needed to manufacture robots, particularly actuation systems that account for more than half of robot component costs. Global humanoid robot sales are projected to reach 2.635 million units by 2035, with a market size of $87 billion, or about 120 trillion won. Hyundai Motor is targeting factories and logistics through Boston Dynamics' Atlas, while LG Electronics is developing home and living-space applications including the Cloid robot and Axium actuator. South Korean government support for physical AI and mass-production demonstrations is also cited as a growth driver.
