KB Kookmin Bank and SAP Korea signed a memorandum of understanding on the 18th to develop software-as-a-service products and next-generation corporate banking services. The companies plan to build products on the SAP Business Technology Platform, integrate third-party solutions as white-label offerings, connect banking services directly with corporate enterprise resource planning systems through an invisible banking model, and jointly identify corporate clients. The initiative expands earlier plans to let businesses access functions such as transfers and balance checks within SAP ERP environments without switching platforms. ERP banking, which embeds payments and cash management into corporate systems, has emerged as a growing competitive area, while KB Kookmin Bank has strengthened its focus through a dedicated ERP division. SAP Korea said the agreement was announced on the 22nd, revising the previously reported announcement date of the 21st.
