Stripe added Samsung Pay support for Android applications built with React Native through version 0.75.0 of its Crypto Onramp tools, adding configuration, availability checks and payment-method collection for in-app digital-asset purchases. Samsung Pay joins cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH as payment options, although availability varies by country and device. The feature was released on Aug. 18, 2026, and received fresh public attention on Sept. 21, while the SDK had advanced to version 0.77.0. Apple does not operate an onramp, but Apple Pay is already supported by Stripe and Coinbase, which enabled it across applications using its Onramp on Dec. 2, 2024. Apple posted a U.S. Head of Financial Product Strategy for Apple Pay role on Aug. 26 that lists stablecoins, tokenized deposits and blockchain as preferred qualifications covering Apple Card and Apple Cash. Apple has not announced a stablecoin product, while Samsung and Google have also been linked to digital-asset initiatives without announcing such a product. The developments highlight efforts to reduce payment friction and improve approval rates for crypto purchases without establishing that either wallet maker will become a direct stablecoin platform.
