SecondFi has warned users affected by its June wallet security breach not to claim upcoming NIGHT allocations through compromised addresses. Midnight’s Glacier Drop system ties each allocation to a specific wallet and currently requires redemption from that original address, with no supported option to redirect the tokens to a safer wallet. The warning leaves affected users deciding whether to leave their allocations unclaimed or claim them into wallets whose private keys remain exposed. The breach, which occurred from June 21 to June 23, involved about 16.1 million ADA worth roughly $2.6 million at the time, taken from 374 wallets. SecondFi said the vulnerability permanently exposed affected private keys and that its migration and recovery tools cannot process NIGHT claims. The company has said it will cease operations while continuing asset migration and recovery efforts, including a recovery portal scheduled for September 2026.
