Coinbase Global Inc. shares rose Monday morning as Bitcoin crossed $85,000, extending a weekend rally across the digital asset market. The advance followed coordinated regulatory actions late last week, after the Clarity Act failed to advance in the U.S. Senate. The CFTC (U.S. derivatives regulator) and SEC (U.S. securities regulator) introduced joint proposals on September 17 aimed at establishing a formal oversight framework for crypto asset transactions. As the largest publicly traded cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, Coinbase is positioned to benefit from greater regulatory visibility. Traders were bidding up COIN shares amid expectations that clearer rules could help sustain momentum in crypto prices. Coinbase shares were up 5.81% at $205.54 in Monday premarket trading, according to Benzinga Pro data.
