PermissionDelegationV1_1 entered a two-week activation window on September 21, 2026, after receiving 29 Yes votes on the XRP Ledger. XRPScan data puts the earliest possible activation at 11:18 AM UTC on October 5, provided validator support remains above 80% throughout the period. Permission Delegation lets accounts assign selected permissions to other accounts while retaining control over permissions that cannot be delegated. The amendment, based on XLS-75 and bundled in xrpld 3.3.0, replaces the original implementation after a critical bug was found. Ripple stablecoin product lead Lauren Berta said the feature could support regulated assets including RLUSD, while RippleX software engineer Mayukha Vadari described a use case for blackholed issuers (accounts permanently restricted from signing). The XRP community is also preparing for Ripple Swell, scheduled for October 27 to 29, 2026.
