SpaceX shares were little changed Monday after the Nasdaq-100 quarterly rebalance increased the company’s weighting to 2.82% from approximately 1.28%, with the revised allocation calculated using Friday’s closing prices. The adjustment could generate between $15.5 billion and $22 billion in broader passive buying as index-tracking, leveraged and inverse funds adjust their holdings. SpaceX ranks as the Nasdaq-100’s seventh-largest company by market capitalization, with a value above $2 trillion, while its earlier weighting was constrained by the limited public float following its July IPO. SpaceX shares were down 0.48% at $151.97 at publication, after gaining approximately 1% in Monday’s premarket session. Separately, SpaceX-affiliated xAI released Grok 4.7, and SpaceX has a USSF-385 Falcon 9 launch scheduled for Sept. 26.
