Securitize shares closed at $13.50 Monday, up about 24%, after Cantor Fitzgerald initiated coverage with an overweight rating and a $21.20 12-month price target. The target represented 95% upside from Friday's $10.86 close, but about 57% from Monday's close; shares traded near $13.96 after hours. Benchmark previously initiated coverage with a Buy rating and a $16 target after shares were reported at $11.96, up 10.13%. Cantor analyst Gareth Gacetta said about $39 billion of the world's $319 trillion in traditional financial assets is currently onchain, while RWA.xyz ranked Securitize as the largest tokenization platform by distributed asset value, at $4.64 billion across 26 tokenized assets. The tracker counted 1,877 holders and $1.12 billion in monthly transfer volume, up 178% from the prior month. Securitize provides infrastructure for issuing, registering, custodying, distributing and trading tokenized securities. The Securities and Exchange Commission's temporary order outlining a path for select venues to issue tokenized representations of publicly traded U.S. equities had already lifted the stock 14%. Existing coverage also highlighted Securitize's roughly $5 billion in assets across 23 public blockchains, its reported 70% share of the U.S. tokenization market, BlackRock's BUIDL fund and plans involving Cantor Equity Partners II. Regulatory clarity, competition and the SEC's approach remain key uncertainties.
