Billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper urged Apple and Meta to add Bitcoin to their corporate reserves, arguing that businesses should hold the equivalent of roughly four weeks of expenses in BTC. He said continued government spending could leave corporate cash exposed either to persistent inflation under low interest rates or to banking-system stress if policymakers tighten aggressively. Draper cited SpaceX as a forward-looking company that holds Bitcoin and said Apple and Alphabet have shown interest in hiring cryptocurrency developers and other digital-asset specialists. He reiterated a $250,000 Bitcoin target tied to future Bitcoin halvings, while estimating that two further halving cycles, or roughly five years, may be needed before broader retail use emerges. Apple reported about $146.5 billion in cash and marketable securities in June, and Meta reported about $90.3 billion; neither company disclosed Bitcoin holdings in its latest quarterly filing.
