LG Electronics and LG Energy Solution have qualified products under Nvidia’s DSX Ready program for AI-factory infrastructure, expanding LG’s offerings in centralized liquid cooling and battery energy storage. LG Electronics’ newly certified coolant distribution unit (CDU) was identified in the newer disclosure as a 2.6-megawatt system, although the earlier announcement described the unit as 2.5MW. LG Energy Solution’s LFP-based JF2 AC Link battery energy storage system also qualified. LG is the only South Korean company represented in the initial BESS and 2.5MW-class CDU categories. LG Electronics shares rose 6.2% to 215,000 won in Seoul after Nvidia’s cooling-system approval, outperforming the KOSPI’s 1.2% gain. The CDU is LG’s third Nvidia-certified model, following 600kW and 1MW systems, and Nvidia classifies the latest unit as a Large-Scale cooling solution for high-density AI servers. LG Energy Solution plans 50GWh of ESS production capacity in North America by year-end. The DSX Ready designation identifies products aligned with Nvidia reference designs but does not guarantee orders or compatibility with every facility configuration. The initial list included BESS products from LG Energy Solution, Hitachi Energy and Tesla, and CDU products from LG Electronics, LiquidStack and Vertiv.
