Creality launched its SPARKX i8 multicolor 3D printer on Indiegogo on September 21, 2026, with an early-bird price of $289, compared with a recommended retail price of $399. The printer uses a single four-channel extruder and QuarTeks technology to change colors in less than one second without external purge waste or purge towers. Creality says laboratory testing completed a four-color tower with 3,000 color changes in about 18 hours, 500% faster than printers using an external feeding system. The i8 supports layered CMYK printing (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) and can produce 16 or up to 32 color combinations from four filaments, although layered mixing does not precisely reproduce every specified color. Thirteen sensors and an AI vision camera monitor filament channels, switching mechanisms and key print conditions. The standalone i8 also supports automatic reloading for up to four simultaneously loaded spools of the same material. The first 1,000 backers ordering within 24 hours will receive reimbursement of shipping and taxes up to $50 after the campaign ends. Factory dispatch is planned for October, with delivery in November, subject to regional and local logistics during the fourth-quarter peak season.
