Garrett Jin, a Bitcoin OG and founder of BitForex, opened a 500 BTC short position valued at $43.23 million using 3x leverage after realizing $8.38 million in profit from a Bitcoin long position, according to blockchain-tracking service Lookonchain. Bitcoin was trading around the closely watched $64,000 to $65,000 range, where traders were monitoring whether the price would clear resistance or retreat toward support.
