Trueo plans to move its fully on-chain prediction-market protocol from Base to Ethereum mainnet, a shift announced on Sept. 22, 2026, that the team says will support broader integrations, a more robust oracle system and a more credible, neutral operating foundation. Existing Base trading, market resolutions and redemptions will continue during the transition, while TYD will keep accruing yield. Trueo advises users not to create new Base markets expiring after Jan. 31, 2027; markets expiring before that date are unaffected, and later-dated markets should be created on Ethereum once the deployment is live. TRUE token holders will have an indefinite migration window, while future staking and liquidity rewards will operate exclusively on Ethereum. Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin welcomed the move and described Trueo as a serious prediction-market contender focused on decentralization, ethical design and meaningful applications. Trueo launched on Base in March 2025, when Ethereum gas costs were higher and parts of the product remained experimental. Its system uses USDC collateral to mint the yield-bearing True Yield Dollar, or TYD, which supports binary yes-or-no markets. Outcomes are determined through an oracle process that evaluates external evidence, and the project plans to deploy a next-generation oracle after moving to Ethereum. Trueo says its dispute-resolution framework is intended to offer a more impartial and credible alternative in a market where Polymarket and Kalshi account for roughly 94% of monthly notional volume, according to Dune Analytics. DefiLlama data cited in the announcement showed approximately $796,000 in Trueo TVL, concentrated on Base, making it the 14th-largest on-chain prediction market. Ethereum contract addresses and a specific mainnet launch date have not been disclosed. TRUE previously traded at $0.1899, up 939.2% over 24 hours in earlier CoinGecko data, while ETH was up 2.67% at $2,739 in the latest existing report.
