Bitcoin rose above $87,000 after U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $999 million in net inflows on September 21, according to SoSoValue, although earlier reporting separately placed a larger-than-$1-billion intake on September 22. The September 21 inflow was the funds’ strongest daily result since October 6, 2025, when Bitcoin reached its record price near $126,000. BlackRock’s IBIT, ARKB and Fidelity’s FBTC accounted for 91% of the day’s flows. Bitcoin reached about $87,200 before trading near $86,250, up 14.4% over a week. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said the advance above $86,000 returned the average ETF investor to profit for the first time since January, though purchases at higher prices can raise the group’s average cost basis.
