Nvidia reported $96.2 billion in fiscal Q2 2027 revenue and guided for $108 billion in fiscal Q3, assuming no data center chip revenue from China as US export controls and Chinese purchasing restrictions continue to block the market. Data center revenue reached $89 billion, up 106% year over year, while China contributed less than 1% of the segment compared with 13% to 20% previously. At the same time, Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress warned on the August 26, 2026 earnings call that extreme high-bandwidth memory (HBM) pricing would rise into the following year as AI demand exceeds available supply. Nvidia's supplier purchase commitments increased from $119 billion to $279 billion, including about $92 billion scheduled for the remainder of fiscal 2027. The company expects non-GAAP gross margins of approximately 74% in fiscal Q3, 71%-72% in fiscal Q4 and 72%-73% in fiscal 2028, while Jensen Huang said underlying demand was near 100% growth but shipments were constrained by components. SK Hynix expects the wider memory market to remain out of balance until at least 2030, despite major capacity investments.
