Smiths Group shares rose more than 6% after the industrial-engineering company reported fiscal 2026 results that met earnings and revenue expectations, with EPS of $0.66 and revenue of $1.37 billion. Operating profit improved, helped by strategic portfolio changes including the sale of non-core divisions. Stifel maintained its buy rating and 3,000 pence price target. Smiths Group previously reported organic revenue growth of 1.2% for the year to July 2026 and total revenue of £1.94 billion, up 2.1%. The company also completed the sale of Smiths Interconnect and Smiths Detection for £3.3 billion, supporting a more streamlined portfolio and its projection of faster top-line growth in the following year.
