The 140th China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, will run in Guangzhou from October 15 to November 4, 2026, marking the 70th anniversary of its founding. More than 220,000 overseas buyers from 197 countries and regions have pre-registered, with professional buyers representing nearly 80%. The fair will bring together more than 32,000 exhibiting enterprises, including over 11,000 firms recognized as Specialized, Refined, Differential, and Innovative companies or industry champions. Industrial internet and artificial intelligence are used by 64% of exhibitors, while new products and green products will account for 23.2% and 26% of exhibits, respectively, both record levels. Organizers will introduce 22 smart application scenarios and 16 AI-specific features, including the exhibition industry’s first booth-level navigation and augmented-reality information display. Navigation will cover every hall and provide meter-level guidance for more than 75,000 exhibitors. The event will also provide all 10 categories of producer services, host more than 700 New Collection events, and hold seven forums focused on market expansion, risk mitigation, trend research and innovation. China Foreign Trade Centre Director General Zhu Yong said the fair would continue developing smart exhibition halls and a smart Canton Fair with a comprehensive, adaptable service ecosystem.
