West Red Lake Gold reports 925.52 g/t gold intercept at Madsen

  • West Red Lake Gold reported new underground drilling results from the Madsen Mine.
  • Hole MM26D-14-4929-025 returned 5.3 meters grading 176.04 g/t gold, including 1 meter at 925.52 g/t.
  • Austin 904 is an approximately 200-meter by 200-meter panel of historically unmined mineralization.

West Red Lake Gold Mines reported new underground definition drilling results from its 100%-owned Madsen Mine in the Red Lake Mining District of Northwestern Ontario. The strongest result was 5.3 meters grading 176.04 grams per tonne of gold, including 1 meter at 925.52 grams per tonne, from the Austin 904 Complex. Additional high-grade intersections included 4.5 meters at 128.32 grams per tonne, including 1 meter at 566.81 grams per tonne, in the South Austin area, and 6.85 meters at 35.72 grams per tonne, including 1 meter at 233.76 grams per tonne, in Austin 955. West Red Lake Gold said mineralized panels in the 904 and 955 complexes are showing grade and continuity across multiple areas. The Austin 904 zone is an approximately 200-meter by 200-meter panel of intact, historically unmined mineralization near existing underground infrastructure. The company said its non-remnant character could allow access to the full mineralized zone, potentially supporting larger stopes and greater mining efficiency, while results may support adding the areas to the Madsen mine plan in 2027. Drilling was conducted from the 13th and 14th levels at approximately 650 and 700 meters depth for Austin 904, and from the 12th level at approximately 600 meters depth for Austin 955. The release also cited earlier 2026 results from both complexes. Madsen currently has a National Instrument 43-101 Indicated resource of 1.65 million ounces of gold grading 7.4 grams per tonne within 6.9 million tonnes, an Inferred resource of 0.37 million ounces grading 6.3 grams per tonne within 1.8 million tonnes, and Probable reserves of 478,000 ounces grading 8.16 grams per tonne within 1.87 million tonnes.
