DoGo Power launches grid-forming, AI energy-storage strategy and products

  • DoGo Power launched two smart grid-forming energy-storage solutions and opened them for worldwide orders.
  • The C&I system reduces initial CAPEX by 1.2 U.S. cents per watt-hour, according to DoGo.
  • DoGo’s three manufacturing centers have initial production capacity of 10 GWh.

DoGo Power launched its "Scenario-oriented + Grid-Forming + AI" strategy and two smart grid-forming energy-storage solutions at a Sept. 22, 2026 event in Shanghai, with the systems ready for orders worldwide. The products target large- and medium-sized commercial and industrial (C&I) projects and utility-scale installations. Founder and CEO Robin Zhu said the industry is moving from rapid expansion toward higher-quality development, with scenario adaptation, grid-forming and AI becoming core competitive capabilities. DoGo aims to shift storage from a cost unit to a value-creating unit and focus on grid-scale grid-forming energy storage for new-type power systems. The company operates three R&D centers and two simulation and testing centers in China, has 19 PhD-led cross-disciplinary expert groups, and assigns more than 60% of its staff to R&D. Its three global manufacturing centers have initial production capacity of 10 GWh, while its sales and service network spans more than 30 countries and regions. DoGo said it has moved from product exports toward localized operations. Its four-stage industry framework covers technology and industrial R&D, grid-forming stabilization, AI-driven revenue improvement and holistic intelligent integration; the company says the industry is currently at Stage 2 while it develops solutions for Stage 3 and pursues Stage 4. The self-developed 4S platform integrates EMS, PMS, PCS and BMS, using grid-forming and AI to enable analysis, optimization, decision-making and iterative upgrades. The C&I system uses one 10-foot unit to replace eight cabinets, reducing initial CAPEX by 1.2 U.S. cents per watt-hour, land use by 35% and delivery time by five to seven days. The utility-scale system weighs below 22 tons, supports cable-free installation and dynamic duration expansion. DoGo also introduced a three-layer grid-forming architecture and the Eco AI toolkit, whose functions include planning, operations and natural-language expert services. The company says its tools can increase revenue by 15%, improve 10th-year state of health by more than 3%, and support full-lifespan station performance as it advances its mission of "Lighting Up the World."
