Beefy Finance deployed its Cowcentrated Liquidity Manager, or CLM (automated concentrated-liquidity management), on Ethereum mainnet on July 20, targeting four heavily traded Uniswap V3 pairs: WBTC/USDC, WBTC/WETH, WETH/USDT and USDC/WETH. The system automatically adjusts liquidity ranges every six hours and compounds trading fees daily without requiring users to sell tokens. Beefy said the CLM has operated across other blockchains for nearly two years, managing hundreds of millions in total value locked with zero operational failures. The service charges a 9.5% performance fee, compared with an approximately 10% average among competing automated liquidity managers. Frequent rebalancing may improve fee capture but can increase exposure to impermanent loss during volatile price moves, while avoiding token sales can reduce accounting friction and potentially limit MEV extraction from rebalancing swaps.
