LG Electronics shares rose 6.2% to 215,000 won in Seoul after Nvidia certified the company’s 2.6-megawatt coolant distribution unit (CDU), a system that circulates liquid coolant through cold plates attached to processors. The unit was added to the Nvidia DSX AI Factory Marketplace and met the platform’s reference-design standards, earning the “DSX Ready” qualification. It is LG’s third Nvidia-certified CDU, following approvals for 600-kilowatt and 1-megawatt systems. Nvidia classifies the latest model as a “Large-Scale” cooling solution for high-density AI servers. The certification came a day after LG introduced an air-cooled centrifugal chiller for AI data centers, as the company expands its “Chip-to-Chiller” portfolio amid rising rack power densities and demand for centralized, megawatt-scale cooling.
