Infosys and Chainlink have formed a strategic partnership to support institutional blockchain infrastructure, giving Infosys an integration framework for clients assessing tokenized assets, payments, settlement and onchain financial services. The collaboration spans Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, Chainlink Runtime Environment, Automated Compliance Engine, Proof of Reserve, Data Feeds and Data Streams. Infosys said its financial-services technology supports banking and payments systems serving more than 1.7 billion customer accounts worldwide, though that figure does not measure users of the partnership. Neither company identified a bank, payment provider, asset manager or production deployment, and they disclosed no commercial terms, usage targets, transaction volumes, revenue targets or rollout timetable. Infosys brings prior distributed-ledger work through its Finacle banking software and payment pilots, while Chainlink has pursued other institutional arrangements involving Mastercard, Fidelity International, Swift, Euroclear, SBI and Accenture. LINK traded 1.24% lower on September 22, when the partnership was announced.
