Elysium launches public testnet for Hyperliquid-focused Layer 2 network

  • Kinetiq launched Elysium’s public testnet for a Hyperliquid-native Layer 2 network.
  • Elysium targets 100–200 millisecond blocks and 300 Mgas/s execution capacity.
  • Half of sequencer fees are allocated to KNTQ buybacks and burns under the proposed model.

Kinetiq has launched the public testnet for Elysium, a Hyperliquid-native Layer 2 network built with Arbitrum Orbit. Developers can access the network through chain ID 99801, a public RPC endpoint, block explorer, bridge and faucet. Elysium targets 100 to 200 milliseconds per canonical block and 300 Mgas/s of execution capacity, with spot trading and token launches as initial use cases. HYPE is the native gas token and is bridged at a 1:1 ratio across Elysium, HyperEVM and the broader Hyperliquid stack. Under the proposed fee allocation, 50% of sequencer fees would fund KNTQ buybacks and burns, 25% would go to network builders and 25% to the Kinetiq treasury. Kinetiq already holds the majority of Hyperliquid’s liquid-staking market, while Elysium’s mainnet parameters remain subject to change.
