Bitcoin’s next halving is 61% complete, according to on-chain and cycle analyst Root, with OKLink estimating the event for April 13, 2028, and 109,012 blocks remaining. The reward is expected to fall from 3.125 BTC to 1.5625 BTC after the April 2024 halving reduced it from 6.25 BTC. Bitcoin traded at $86,099, up 0.86% in 24 hours, after reaching $87,397, its highest level since late January 2026. It reclaimed all long-term moving averages after about 300 days below them and closed above its 365-day average for the first time since March 2023. Bitcoin ETFs recorded more than $1 billion in one-day inflows, while the average holder moved above the estimated $81,722 cost basis. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said Bitcoin typically sees run-ups before halvings and expressed optimism about the next year or two.
