Alibaba Cloud will join the Omacom Foundation as a founding corporate sponsor, providing $1 million annually for three years, or $3 million in total, to support Omarchy’s development, maintenance and promotion. The commitment matches funding previously pledged by DigitalOcean. The partners also plan to build Omarchy China with local CDN infrastructure, hosting, a website, offline events and a community. Their cooperation will include adapting Omarchy for Qwen models and services commonly used by Chinese users, as well as work around the newly announced Qwen Book. The stated goal is to develop Omarchy into an AI agent operating system, software designed to run autonomous task-performing agents.
