Airtel Money, the mobile-money arm of FTSE 100-listed Airtel Africa, is preparing a London initial public offering that could value the business at $8 billion to $9 billion and raise about $800 million. Airtel Africa, which owns just under 78% of the unit, plans to remain a long-term investor after the secondary sale, while the company expects at least 10% of shares to be publicly traded following admission. Airtel Money will disclose an indicative price range and the number of shares offered in early October, with final pricing due later that month. The company, which serves 53 million monthly active users in 13 sub-Saharan African countries, generated nearly $1.4 billion in revenue in its last financial year and reported quarterly revenue growth of 38% to £399 million through June 30. The planned debut follows a delay from the first half of 2026 because of market volatility linked to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran and would provide a significant test for London's diminished IPO market.
